Casey Jones is a misguided do-gooder. He has a good heart, and he delivers justice to bad guys who snatch purses and attack other people, yet he believes the best way to do this is to beat some sense into them. Literally. This is aaaall because he’s a big ol’ hot-head, which causes him to get along well with Raphael.

Right, let’s start at the beginning. Casey basically grew up in “da hood”. Heck, his family was lucky that they were able to own an apartment there. Unfortunately, his neighborhood was overrun with street gangs and people who did others “favors”, and it was when they (meaning The Purple Dragon and the Hun) went too far and burned down his father’s shop that Casey decided that he was tired of “hoods running his hood”. With that, he started training and read several books on martial arts, donned a golf bag full of sports equipment to whack enemies with (dual baseball bats, a golf club, a hockey stick, tennis rackets, etc.) and a hockey mask to cover his face, and became a self appointed vigilante.

He continued this for a while until one of his battles was watched by Raphael. Raph was enjoying the fight at first, but then he stopped Casey when the man seemed to be going too far. This caused the criminals to run away, and Casey got into a fight with Raph. The two continued clashing every time they met (which was only once or twice) until they did what all people should do and cooled down enough to talk. There, Casey told Raph his story (and even shed a few tears!), and the two realized just how much they had in common.

It’s after this fateful meeting that Casey becomes permanently associated with the turtles and becomes their right-hand man. He always seems to show up when he’s needed, shouting his favorite battle phrase (“Goongala!”). During that time, Casey became quite involved with April O’Neil, and also became close friends with Raphael. He lends a hand in many adventures and battles, that is, until the Shredder is finally defeated.

This is when Leo is sent off to Central America to become a true leader. With everything mostly quiet, Casey worked with April in a shipping company as a delivery man, though he spent his nights continuing his vigilante ways. When he hears about the new “hero” in town, the Nightwatcher, he immediately suspects that it’s Raph since he “looks like a giant turtle in a suit”, yet didn’t confront him with it until later. Once he did, he became his “sidekick” (though he insists that Raph’s actually the sidekick) and helped fight crime with him.

He was greatly relieved when Leo returned; thinking that this would bring the turtles back together again and fix whatever rifts came between them all. Yet not everything is so easily fixed. I’ll skip the details that don’t have to do with Casey.

Soooo there’s the whole thing you already know with the thirteen stars lining up which made the thirteen monsters in NYC come to life and attack and Winters was trying to get them back to the portal thing to make himself and his siblings mortal again blaaaah blah blah and Casey gets caught up in that when the turtles decide to get involved. When Leo gets captured, he aids in breaking the turtles into Winters’ museum by dressing up as Cowabunga Carl before going in to kick some Foot ass. In the end, the thirteenth monster still needed to be found, so Casey and April (along with the Foot’s leader) go to find it. And find it they did.

Casey is brought to Avoria when he and April are attempting to lead the monster back to Winters’ museum.

Personality wise, as I said before, Casey has a big heart, but it’s sometimes covered up by his quick and bad temper. He becomes enraged easily, and is often described as “thick-headed”. Nevertheless, he’s loyal to the end, always seeming to show up whenever he’s needed, whether for a fight or for a talk. His quick-temper, however, matches well with Raph, and the two often end up fighting either simply for fun or to vent ou frustration. He may look like a stick in the movie, yet he has great physical strength, often overwhelming his enemies with it. Heck, he stands at a full 6’2”!

Laaaa… he’s also handy with the garage and can fix almost anything that happens to be in the house. :D
